"Tastes and traditions of Bihor" - Second edition

The Museum of the Country of Crișurilor Oradea – Museum Complex organizes together with the Bihor Destination Management Agency (AMD Bihor), with the support of the Bihor County Council, the Oradea City Hall and Visit Oradea and in partnership with the Sustainable Development Agency of Bihor County, the Cultural Center of Bihor County, the Queen Maria State Theater and the Association "Friends of the Museum of the Country of Crișurilor", the second edition of the event "Tastes and traditions of Bihor". It will take place between September 21-22, 2024, in the park of the Museum of the Country of Crișurilor (Str. Armatei Române, no. 1/A), between 1:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The purpose of this year's event is to promote the traditional food specific to Bihor, based on the recipes included in the volume "Traditional Bihor Recipes", released in the first edition and available online here: https://www.cjbihor.ro/.../ Traditional-Recipes-DEBIHOR-RO.... The event also aims to promote the crafts and artisans still active in Bihor County, local producers, as well as the music and dances specific to the Country of the Crișuri.

Detailed schedule of activities for both days (September 21 and 22, 2024):
• 13:00 - 21:30: "Bihor" culinary preparations
• 13:00 - 19:00: Folk craftsmen
• 13:00 - 19:00: Local producers
• 18:00 - 20:00: Folk program

"Tastes and traditions of Bihor" is a cultural event that brings together the cuisine of Bihor, local producers, craftsmen and artists from Bihor county, in a joint effort to capitalize and promote the gastronomic and cultural traditions of our county. The event also contributes to the preservation and promotion of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Bihor.
