Báthory Fest 2024

This year's edition of Báthory Fest brings unique moments for all those who love the art of medieval historical reenactment, good music and gastronomic dishes specific to such a festival.

Renowned historical re-enactment bands have confirmed their presence at this festival, which has become one of the most famous profile events in Transylvania.

Stefan Báthory, born on September 27, 1533 in the citadel of Șimleu Silvaniei, would become the outstanding personality who created the connection between 5 peoples: Romanian, Hungarian, Polish, Lithuanian and Jews. As king of Poland and Lithuania, he proved to be a reformer of the military, a founder of institutions of higher learning, and a defender of civil and moral rights.

In addition to the reconstruction activities, 2 well-known bands from Romania, Cargo and Vama, will perform at this edition. Young local talents will take the stage, as well as guests from outside the country. Don't miss the opportunity to see VAMA and CARGO live in a story setting!
