The International Ayud Folklore Festival, an event in its 8th edition, will take place this year In the period 𝟐𝟓 - 𝟐𝟖 July 2024.
The municipality of Aiud will host more than 300 dancers and performers, members of folk ensembles from: the Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Mexico, Slovakia and Turkey.
Along with these ensembles, the Aiudean public will enjoy the presence on the festival stage of the following ensembles from Romania: "Bărăganul" Folk Ensemble from Călărași, "Augustin Bena" Folk Ensemble from Alba County, "Pipacs" Hungarian Dance Ensemble from Ciumbrud and, of course, the "Doina Aiudului" Folk Ensemble.
The festival will start on Thursday, July 25, 2024. In the 4 evenings of the show, all the ensembles will take the stage of the festival and delight the audience with the wonderful folk costumes, as well as with the music and dances specific to each country, not missing the surprises prepared on the occasion of this royal folklore .
The organizers of the International Folklore Festival are: Alba County Council, the "Augustin Bena" Alba Culture Center, the Town Hall and the Aiud Local Council.
We remind you that the International Folklore Festival is the only event in Alba county organized under the auspices of CIOFF - the International Council of Folklore Festival Organizers, an official partner of UNESCO and the second largest festival of its kind organized in Romania under the auspices of CIOFF.
