Would you like to witness the sunrise over the sea and the sunset over the Danube on the same day?
How many times have you seen the river's waters embrace the sea's waters?
Between September 12th and 14th, we invite you to Sulina, the easternmost point of the country, for the second edition of the Danube Festival #CleanWaters - an event dedicated to celebrating and protecting the river against plastic pollution.
Music, debates and interactive workshops dedicated to environmental protection, kayaking, local crafts, exhibitions and film screenings await you in the Danube port!
Partizan and Taraf de Caliu are meeting you at the sea front!
Free entrance.
🎶We keep the rhythm together with guest artists and local folk ensembles.
♻️We take an imaginary journey along the Danube River, from its source to its mouth, together with guests from the other Danube countries, and together we find solutions to the environmental problems we face.
🛶We let the Danube sway us in kayaks under the shady willows.
🧶We admire local artisanal products and visit tourist attractions: the European Commission Danube Lighthouse, the Cosmopolitan Cemetery and the Old Sulina Exhibition.
📷We get acquainted with photographs of Danube waters: Vlad Bâscă & Liviu Simionescu.
🎥 Movie screenings lure us in cool halls.
🏖We discover the magic of the sea in autumn, on Sulina beach.
We look forward to growing the community of nature lovers. Every choice counts in the fight against plastic pollution. Together we can protect one of Europe's most important natural resources.

The Danube Festival is organized as part of the Clean Waters program, supported by Lidl Romania, by an international team formed by MaiMultVerde Association and H2Org, with the support of BCR and Baden-Wuettemberg Foundation.
