Visit the Biertan Winery during the European Heritage Days

The Biertan Winery joins the program of activities offered by the Biertan Town Hall on the occasion of the European Heritage Days in Biertan and offers visitors the opportunity to participate in two tours organized from 13:00 and 15:00, guided by a local who worked here in the good old days of the winery.

Built between 1961 - 1963, the Biertan Winery was at its time one of the largest in Sibiu County. The hundreds of hectares of vines on the terraced hills of Biertan unfortunately disappeared, those from Jidvei being the last to manage them until 2009.

This year, the new owners decided to reopen it for visiting, and the rooms with the huge pools and its vintage machinery are real tourist attractions.

After or before the tour, there are only good times for a pizza on the terrace of the winery restaurant. And one more tip: the winery park has a thick shade where you can cool off.
